Solution for 1997-2003 Mercedes CLK Models: Rear Quarter Glass Weather Strip Replacement
A common issue with 1997-2003 Mercedes CLK models is the rear quarter glass weather strip breaking. This allows water and rain to enter the vehicle, potentially damaging modules under the carpet. Unfortunately, dealerships do not offer the rubber seal or weather stripping separately, only a complete glass assembly is available.
Sun Nation provides a cost-effective solution with our high-quality weather stripping/seal kit, allowing you to replace just the rubber seal, not the entire window. The kit also includes an installation tool, making it easy to fix the issue without needing to purchase a full glass assembly.
The quarter glass seal is a molded rubber weatherstrip designed to create a watertight and airtight barrier around the vehicle’s fixed rear side (quarter) glass. It prevents water leaks, wind noise, and dust intrusion while helping to stabilize the glass within the body frame. Made from durable, UV- and weather-resistant rubber, the quarter glass seal also contributes to cabin comfort and preserves the vehicle’s overall fit and finish.
Quarter Glass Seal Failure Symptoms- Water leaks or moisture inside the cabin – a common sign of a deteriorated or misaligned seal.
- Increased wind noise at highway speeds – caused by gaps or hardened rubber.
- Visible cracks, shrinkage, or deformation – indicates aging material and reduced sealing performance.
