Mercedes Intake Manifold Repair Kit - Sun Nation RK5887

I purchased this kit to be installed on a 2008 E350 (w211, m272) because the factory, plastic intake tumbler flap control lever broke. This looks like a decent kit, offering more replacement components than others on the market. But when installing I found that there are many issues that pretty much make this kit unusable. 1. The small aluminum linkages that connect to the secondary flaps, inside of the intake manifold were casted so poorly and out of round they would bind and not turn once assembled 2.The replacement plastic races for the secondary intake flaps are also out of spec. They are press fit between the two case halves of the intake manifold. When you torque the intake manifold together they made the flaps bind so much I could not actuate them by hand. 3. The intake tumbler flap control lever when installed is too low and hits part of the intake casting, not allowing it to operate. After shimming with washers to get the correct height the part will bind with itself (between the lever and arm on the left side) under full actuation, making it stuck in the closed position. Had to file a chamfer into an edge of the lever arm to allow it to work. This kit is not a finished product and I feel that the R&D and the manufacturing standard are of poor quality. To access the interior secondary flaps you need to separate the two halves of the intake manifold and removing the factory plastic linkage for the secondary flap pretty much guarantees they break and can not be used again. I installed what I could use from the kit to the car could at least run. Filing and test fitting, over and over again running into problems half a dozen in a row. When I contacted FCP euro customer service and told them of these issues they asked for pictures in order to do anything at all. I don’t really know how pictures could communicate these fitment problems, not to mention it would require another full tear down of the intake manifold. I felt that was more work than it was worth. I did not install the vacuum actuators so I have nothing to say of them. I thought I was paying a premium for quality, but this kit is borderline garbage (unusable) and I would not recommend it. Generally it is only control lever that breaks in this system, I would just replace that with a more basic kit and avoid all this headache.
