Product Information

The most common fuel pump failure symptoms include stalling, no starts or hard starts, and momentary power loss during steady state driving. Factors that decrease fuel pump performance include dirt or restrictions from fuel filters, corroded fuel pump harness connections, and issues with the fuel pump control system such as the FSCU/Engine computer/fuel pressure relay etc. When replacing your fuel pump, we also recommend replacing your fuel filter fuel pump relay (where applicable).

Fuel Filter

It is important to keep all dirt and foreign matter out of your fuel system to ensure its optimum performance. A clogged fuel filter can reduce engine performance as well as increase the load on the fuel pump which can potentially burn out its motor. It can be difficult to know when the fuel filter needs to be changed, so we suggest changing your fuel filter at your car manufacturer's suggested intervals, which is often during a tune up.

Need to replace the fuel filter on a 2010 Mercedes C300 Sport model; RWD, automatic transmission, gas. Pulled back bench seat and the part on the drivers side has a P/N sticker that reads: A2044702494. Don't see this part when I search on your site for it. Did find P/N 204470469480 on your site, which appears to be a superceded number from the one currently installed in the vehicle. My primary objective is to replace the fuel filter. The new P/N ending in 9480 is described as a fuel pump. My question is, does this part include the fuel FILTER in it, too? By replacing this part will I be taking care of the maintenance item of replacing the fuel filter? Are there other fuel filters I need to replace? Also, your site recommends when replacing this part to replace the fuel filter fuel pump relay at the same time, evidently as a similar maintenance item. Would you please provide the part number for it?

If you search without the A the pump will come up linked below. In this application the fuel filter would be integrated as part of the fuel pump, so replacing one replaces the other.
