Product Information
An Engine Cooling Fan Switch monitors the engine temperature and controls the operation of the cooling fan, which helps regulate the engine's temperature by drawing air through the radiator. When the engine reaches a specific temperature, the switch activates the cooling fan to help dissipate heat and prevent overheating.
Engine Cooling Fan Switch Failure Symptoms- Overheating Engine: A malfunctioning cooling fan switch may fail to activate the cooling fan, causing the engine to overheat. If the fan doesn’t turn on when needed, the engine temperature can rise dangerously high, potentially leading to serious engine damage
- Constantly Running Cooling Fan: If the switch is stuck in the "on" position, the cooling fan may run continuously, even when the engine is cool. This can lead to unnecessary battery drain and increased wear on the fan motor
