An Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve is a critical component in a vehicle’s emission control system. It recirculates a portion of the engine’s exhaust gases back into the intake manifold to be burned again. • Check Engine Light: An issue with the EGR valve can trigger the check engine light. Common error codes for a failing EGR valve include P0400 to P0408, related to EGR flow or circuit issues
• Poor Fuel Economy: If the valve is stuck open, it can lead to excessive recirculation, reducing combustion efficiency and lowering fuel economy
