Product Information

Disc Brake Rotor

Sold Individually

Commonly referred to as a Brake Disc or a Brake Rotor, these components play a vital role in your braking system. When applying the brake pedal, this produces hydraulic fluid pressure which then transfers the pressure from the pedal through your braking system and into your brake calipers. The caliper pistons then apply pressure against your brake pads squeezing them inward against your brake rotors ultimately causing friction and stopping the vehicle. Brake rotors are a regular maintenance item which requires either servicing by means of machine work, or most commonly replacement when they become too thin, pulsate, glaze, or grind from worn-out brake pads. It's recommended to replace the brake pads and rotors at the same time.

Disc Brake Rotor Failure Symptoms
  • Pulsating
  • Grinding
  • Squeaking
  • Glazing
  • Hot spots
  • A noticeable lip on the rotors outer edge

Mercedes Brake Disc - Zimmermann
Great Brake Discs / Rotors. I have owned my W211 E55 for over 10 years now and over time have usually resorted to OEM Genuine Mercedes ones. Although I feel the Mercedes Genuine ones do stop better, they create way more dust and coat the wheels in a few weeks. In addition although brake feel and stopping power are better on Genuine ones, they wear out quicker. The Zimmermann with Akebono Pads combo I have found out to be better at reducing dust, and although initial braking is not as crisp, they perform better than OEM under hard acceleration and frequent braking. In general they barely wear over time and last a couple of years before needing replacement. Considering the Lifetime Warranty from FCP it was an easy choice so next time around I replace them under warranty.

these fit well. look good going through a whole (rather lame) winter. do what they are supposed to do. i was kind of surprised how much better they look than my old (120k) ones which really didn't need to be changed (i've changed pad numerous times, though). i refaced my old ones once but i really should have just bought these. it was faster and they are better.

Ask a question
Question Posted by a customer
do they come with both rotors or just one?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This is a single rotor.
Question Posted by James
what diameter are these?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
This is a 360mm brake disc
Question Posted by Travis
Where are these made? Are they the best for a direct replacement for my 2007 CLS-63?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Hello, I recommend the Zimmermann brake disc option since it's an OE supplier brand and comes coated to help prevent rust. Unfortunately I do not have the country of origin on this rotor at the moment, our apologies.
