Unfortunately they don't last forever and are considered to be a major wear item which must be replaced before they completely wear out and damage the brake rotor costing you more in repairs. Brake pads can be made of several materials such as a semi-metallic compound, ceramic compound, or organic. Brake pads are suggested to be checked frequently during oil changes or routine services for wear to ensure you have at least the minimum pad thickness as stated by the car manufacturer.

Glazed with Track Use
Not great with heat, these lasted 2 track days on my SL55 and began to squeak from getting glazed over. Also the metal plate on these pads seem to come loose in the box. Overall not a great experience, the OE Pagid pads were better quality from my experience.
They work great barely any brake dust!

Sorry to be a nerd but this took some time to work out and may help others: In your listing for "Akebono 0034207120" you show two pad types ... only the picture with the eight pad set is correct. What you call "Akebono 0034207120" is in fact "Akebono EUR983" these are interchangeable with the original Mercedes A0034207120/41 pads. These pads fit my 2003 Mercedes CL600 (original fit) which uses a 360 mm x 36 mm rotor's (Mercedes A2204211912/64) .... This is not shown in your part look up. The Akebono EUR983 is a Low Dust Ceramic pad set. For my vehicle only one brake wear sensor was required when changing both L/R front pads. I used a Bosch: CW03WZR .... I dont know what the FCP equivalent is? The Mercedes Part Numbers for the fitting kit are: Pins (2 per Caliper): A0004202782 Spring Clips (2 per Caliper): A0004219091 What are the part numbers for the FCP equivalent? Regards

Each picture has 8 pads included, some of which are upside down to show the back side of the pads. They are all the same pad type. 0034207120 is the OE equivalent for EUR983; both part numbers are listed on the product page. In the subtitle, we list this pad set as Ceramic Material, Low Dust Brake Pad. I'm not showing any information for Bosch CW03WZR, but if you reach out to service@fcpeuro.com, we will be happy to help you find it on our site, or the OE equivalent. We list both the pins and spring clips on our site, as Genuine Mercedes parts, and OE alternatives. Please search the numbers you listed (A0004202782 and A0004219091) to find these on our site.

Akebono's for the rear have a known fitment issue with the rear pad sensor attachment point. As a result, we do not offer that pad set
