Unfortunately they don't last forever and are considered to be a major wear item which must be replaced before they completely wear out and damage the brake rotor costing you more in repairs. Brake pads can be made of several materials such as a semi-metallic compound, ceramic compound, or organic. Brake pads are suggested to be checked frequently during oil changes or routine services for wear to ensure you have at least the minimum pad thickness as stated by the car manufacturer.

Low dust brake pads
So far I have had no issues with these pads. I was looking for low-dust pads and these worked perfectly.

Replacing after 2 years
Bought these pads to go along with my new Zimmerman rotors, lasted about 2 years, trying to replace them now under FCP Euro lifetime warranty, will see how that goes, and update this review.

no dust
installed these on my 09 s550 4matic cut my brake dust down by 95% and they came with brake grease now i dont have to constantly clean my rims

Excellent Brake Pads!!!
Installed these on my 08 S550 4-Matic w/ Sport Pkg, paired with new Brembo rotors, these pads are AMAZING to say the least! Extremely minimal dust without sacrificing braking performance. No noises either, I'm very happy and highly recommend as I will definitely be getting these again!
