Powers the front left window regulator

If your BMW's front window has stopped going up and down and you can't hear the window motor on the inside of the door there is a good chance it has failed. In addition to the window motor failing there is also a good chance that the window regulator has failed as well. This Genuine BMW replacement will perform and fit just like the original.

Window Motor

A window motor is an electric motor inside a vehicle’s door that powers the window regulator, allowing you to raise or lower a power window at the push of a switch.

It works by receiving electrical current from the window switch, which then drives gears that move the regulator arms or cables, moving the glass up or down. Window motors are usually paired with the regulator in a single assembly but can also be replaced separately in some vehicles.

Window Motor Failure Symptoms
  • Window Doesn’t Move at All: No sound or movement when pressing the switch, even though the fuse and wiring are good.
  • Slow or Jerky Window Movement: The motor is losing strength, causing the glass to move sluggishly or unevenly.
  • Intermittent Operation: Works sometimes but not always, often due to worn brushes or internal motor issues.
