Product Information

A failing wheel bearing will make a lot of tell tale sounds. A good example of this is a humming sound at highway speeds. Additionally, a bad wheel bearing will also make groaning or clunking sounds while turning. If your BMW's wheel bearings are making this noise we highly recommend immediate replacement.

Please note: When installing the new wheel hub assemblies the replacement hub assembly bolts that mount the bearing to the knuckle you must torque to 80Nm + 90°. The replacement axle bolt must be torqued to 210Nm + 90°.

BMW X3 F25 Front Wheel bearing Kit
First of all, the OE manufacture of these wheel bearing is F.A.G. The only difference is the BMW stamp. The supplemental parts are identical to what was on the car. Installation was pretty easy considering what was involved. Parts were pretty much identical to what the car had from the factory and I did not see any physical difference between the old unit and the new one. The only difference was the carrier bolts. The new BMW bolts are now Torx Plus. I believe is Torx Plus 60. Make sure you buy a quality Torx bit for this. Use a ratchet-type breaker bar as you will have little to no room to accommodate for regular torque bar flex. If you use a regular torque bar as I did, you will find the angular torque setting will be extremely uncomfortable. save yourself the pain. Make sure you loosen the driveshaft bolt (Hex 17) by locking the axle with the caliper bracket and a screwdriver or simply before you lift the car. if you do not, you will not be able to lock it and apply torque to loosen the bolt as it is tight. Also, a few before the job spray the bolts to be removed with penetrating oil. It will make your life much easier. good luck.
