Water pump failures are a common occurrence on high mileage engines. A water pump failure is never a convenient experience and it usually leaves you stranded where you don't want to be stranded. We recommend replacing your BMW's water pump every 60,000 miles as a regular service to ensure that you are never stranded anywhere.

This pump is manufactured with silicone carbide seals which will provide enhanced durability and long term service life. In addition the water pump impeller bearing is OE to ensure proper service life and performance.

Engine Water Pump

Your vehicles engine water pump is responsible for keeping coolant flowing through the engine. As water pumps get old the internal bearing can go bad causing noise and a coolant leak. A good indicator that your water pump is failing is if you see coolant leaking through the water pump "weep hole".

Leaked after 15k miles
Clearly not a leak near the o rings either . If they allowed me to share and image it would be obvious

No Issue So Far
Pump is very well made and like the added bonus of the metal propeller inside, although my 150k original pump was still working as it should, I replaced it as preventative maintenance and had no issue installing it. Only thing I would recommend is buy an OE gasket with this for piece of mind as the gasket that comes with this is a basic paper gasket.

Buy an OEM gasket
The pump does its job. Speaking from experience please couple this with an OEM gasket. OE is known to have a minor leak. Just by the OEM gasket please.

Bearing issue
After installing this new pump, I was happy to find there were zero leaks upon initial startup. However, there was a whine sound coming from it. I took the fan clutch back off to inspect the water pump pulley for cracks around the bolt holes and found none, but the inside of the pulley was rubbing on the water pump shaft as it spun. There's no other way to mount the pulley on the water pump than the correct way...So...bad design tolerances on the Geba water pump?? Car drove fine and stayed at the right temperature. I'm warrantying this pump for a new one as they shouldn't produce noise. I will follow up this review with a new one once I install the 2nd Geba water pump. Bad first impression with this brand.

Great water pump
My M3 water pump was starting to make noise at idle. I had the idle pulley, tensioner, and belts replaced but the noise still persisted. This pump came highly recommended and you can’t beat the lifetime warranty. I used this pump along with other cooling components that I refreshed. Now the car has no weird noises and the engine temps are more consistent. Make sure to use OEM coolant and OEM gaskets whenever replacing any cooling parts.
