Product Information
Developed specifically for the S62 found in the E39 M5 and Z8, these valve cover collar screws were developed to compliment our stainless valve cover cap nuts. These 316 stainless bolts are a corrosion resistant upgrade over the factory coated steel fasteners. This collar screw includes a matching stainless steel washer and a new rubber grommet.
Installation notes: The installation of the grommet onto either the OE/ Genuine or FCP Euro versions of this bolt can be challenging. While it may seem intuitive to use a pick to draw the grommet onto the bolt, it's very likely that you will damage the components or injure yourself in the process. We would strongly recommend using a valve cover cap nut or other M6 nut to draw the grommet onto the bolt. Simply drop the grommet over the threads, and then begin tightening a nut onto the threads of this bolt to force the grommet into place.
