Product Information

The turbocharger cut-off valve protects the turbocharger when boost is present in the intake system but airflow has been disrupted. The primary function of this part is to prevent compressor surge which happens when the turbo is forced to spin backward.

This valve can be a culprit for under boost related fault codes. Visual inspection of this valve is required to ensure the diaphragm is in good shape and is not bleeding charge pressure. A bad turbocharger cut-off valve can cause problems similar to a faulty/loose wastegate or wastegate actuator.

This kit includes a brand new OE turbocharger cut off valve as long as the required replacement hardware for installation (screws and sealing o-ring). The M6 screws included in this kit must be torqued to 10Nm (~88 in lbs).

Replacement instructions, cannot find anything online. Was looking for a youtube video, but they only show a 2.0L replacement, looking for a 535i version.
