Replace your worn trailing arm bushings while improving performance and service life

Your BMW's trailing arms are a critical component of the rear suspension. They act as a mounting point for other suspension components and it acts as an integral part of the entire rear suspension. The mounting bushings which attach the trailing arm to the chassis are notorious for failure.

They fail because of deflection. Deflection is the amount of "twist" a bushing has. All bushings operate with deflection so this isn't a problem. The problem is too much deflection which is inherit with the trailing arm bushings on all E36's and E46's.

This kit includes two OE Lemforder trailing arm bushings and an FCP polyurethane trailing arm bushing spacer kit which will help reduce bushing deflection and counteract bump steer.

Put these in 330cic and what a confidence booster! Definitely recommend these instead of stock bushings. Didn't bother with limiters honestly.

Make sure to grease
It sounded like squirrels were running loose in my trunk after installing this kit. FCP Euro advised to apply grease on both sides of the limiters. After redoing the install with grease, they're quiet now. Hopefully they don't require re-greasing as that would be a maintenance bummer. I was able to remove and install the bushings using the loaner press kit from my local Autozone -- would be useful to have another set of hands while doing this but I managed it alone. As another reviewer mentioned, use a hose clamp to compress the bushes and get them started into the trailing arm.

Great choice for street or track
After running polyurethane RTAB bushings on my other two e36 m3s I decided to finally try the OEM RTABs with limiters. The installation was easy with an RTAB tool, and the car feels great on street and on the track. I highly recommend this kit.

Nice improvement and the bushings make a difference. Use a hose clamp to compress the bushing to get it started into the arm.

A couple of reviewers are recommending grease for installation. What kind of grease (lubrication) should be used on the limiters to prevent noise?
