Tail Light Assembly

A tail light assembly is the housing and all associated components of a vehicle’s rear lighting system. It typically includes the tail light lens, bulbs (for tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights, and turn signals), as well as reflectors. The tail light assembly is essential for ensuring that other drivers can see your vehicle from behind, especially in low-visibility conditions, and for communicating your driving intentions such as braking or turning.

Tail Light Assembly Failure Symptoms

2012 X5d - direct fit for liftgate tail light. Easy swap. Includes the bulb and gasket.
Gasket failed on my old tail light and allowed water to seep in from the top and over the LED circuit board, which caused corrision. The bulb and bulb carrier plug were almost entirely corroded from water entry after 10 years, which resulted in total failure. One side was still working, but after inspection, the other side was also very close to failing due to corrosion. Gaskets are foam and will degrade. Well worth the upgrade, need a flathead and an 8mm with flex socket for swap.
