Fits front left and front right applications, should be replaced when installing new strut assemblies

Strut mounts are a common wear item on Mini Coopers. This mount secures the top of the strut to the chassis and also acts as a pivot point. With high mileage the strut bearing can become "crunchy" affecting steering performance. In addition the rubber in the mount can crack causing play and other issues. We recommend replacing strut mounts when installing new strut assemblies for the best possible service life and performance.

Suspension Strut Mount

Strut mounts are a frequent wear component on vehicles with MacPherson suspension systems. These mounts secure the top of the strut to the chassis and serve as a pivot point for steering. Over time, especially with higher mileage, the strut bearing can degrade, leading to a rougher feel and reduced steering performance. Additionally, the rubber in the mount may crack, causing looseness and other issues. Failed within a few thousand miles - rubber squeak noise
Currently made in China. Look for the ones made in Germany. Purchased as part of a suspension refresh kit for my stock 2005 R53 and the rubber splits on both within 5k miles. Purchased a replacement pair and they instantly make the rubber squeak noise when turning the steering wheel left or right. This happens more often during colder temps. About to replace the 2nd set and it's not even 3k miles.

Meets expectation
Removed original mounts after 134k as they were beyond done (2nd owner, 1st owner had no clue). These are a great replacement, and quite cheaper than original MINI. No issues, line up perfectly, no discernable quality issue.

(R53 JCW) Mine were completely shot at 100K miles. Rips bends you name it. Needed to fix the strut tower mushroom, did that, and put a reinforcement plate in. Perfect again

No more squeaks and knocks!
The last time I replaced my front strut mounts I bought them from the dealer. I was quite peeved when barely 3 years later they got noisy again. Lesson learned. I buy all my parts from FCP Euro now. Anyway, these fit perfectly and cured my squeaking when turning the steering wheel and the knocking over speed bumps. Hopefully, they stay quiet for more than 3 years, but I've got FCP Euro lifetime warranty this time.

these strut mounts are great! OEM quality. they do not come with any of the washers that are needed. you will have to use your old washers from the old strut mounts. Works great!
