B6 series, 46mm monotube strut assembly
WARNING: Proposition 65 informationIf your ride feels a little bouncy or you can feel clunks in the suspension while it's going over bumps it is likely due to worn strut assemblies and shock absorbers. The purpose of the strut assembly is it acts as a central pivot point for the suspension while housing the coil spring. It also dampens the compression and rebound of the coil spring as the suspension moves up and down. When replacing suspension components it is highly recommended to replace them in pairs.

I had the B6 shocks and struts on my car and the rear B6 shocks were constantly bottoming out and leaking oil. Talking with Bilstein North America product team they told me the proper setup with M-Sport springs was the B8’s. I switched to the B8’s and all has been great! I feel bad leaving a bad review since these would work with the standard coil springs but are the wrong ones for the S704A package

Yes, this B6 strut will come internally bump stopped with a dust boot over the shaft.

I just fitted these new struts on my e85 m54b30 along with new brand new M sport suspension springs that are part of the S704A package (I had standard springs before). I’ve noticed the ride height is now taller than what I had before when I had the standard suspension setup. The struts/springs I pulled out were original to the car (car has 85k miles). Will these struts/springs settle over time?

Ride height is not determined by the shocks or struts, it's the springs. The original springs were probably tired (they do sag over time) so it will take some time for ride height to settle. It will not settle to where it was before as the new ride height after the suspension settles is the correct ride height. The ride height before would have been lower than stock due to tired/fatigued springs.
