NOTES: Engineered to compliment lowering springs or factory springs. KONI Special Active dampers fall into the sweet spot between performance and comfort. As an evolution of the award-winning FSD (Frequency Select Damper), KONI Special Active utilizes KONI's own patented technology to allow the damper quick reactions to cancel out sharp jounces such as potholes and expansion joints, while simultaneously maintaining a firm and sporty ride. It does so completely through proprietary internal valving and contains no electronics. Does the Koni Special Active line of shocks and struts allow for the use of lowering springs, or is this for stock ride height only?

his kit is intended for stock ride height, including factory M Sport/M-Technic suspension. We would not recommend pairing these E39 Special Active dampers with aftermarket lowering springs; for a lowered setup, use dampers specifically designed for shortened performance springs, such as Koni Sport, and verify the spring drop against the damper application.
