A suspension strut cartridge is the internal shock-absorbing component housed within a strut assembly. It controls suspension movement by dampening the up-and-down motion of the springs, ensuring stability, comfort, and proper tire contact with the road. In some vehicles, the cartridge can be replaced separately without changing the entire strut housing.

• Excessive bouncing or poor ride comfort, as the cartridge can no longer dampen spring movement effectively.
• Nose-diving or body roll, especially during braking or cornering, due to weakened damping control.
