Product Information
This starter motor kit features a brand new SEG OE 140mm starter motor with replacement starter motor bolts and intake manifold gaskets. This kit has the basics needed for removing the intake manifold and replacing the starter motor on an M52/S52 engine that has retained the stock M52/S52 intake manifold.
Starter motors are what get your engine running. In order for an engine to start it must be rotating. The starter motor spins the engine via the flywheel or flex plate while fuel is injected into the engine. Starter motors are very robust and have a long service life but can fail. A failed starter motor will prevent you from being able to start your car.
Starter Failure Symptoms- Engine won't turn over despite complete battery charge

This starter honestly sucks! If you can afford it or find a way, I’d highly suggest getting an oem one. Made my e36 sound like a 70s truck with a bad starter trying to start. It’s absolutely awful! The original starter has a specific wonderful sound I love the sound of bmws starting but this starter sounds like absolute shit! AND it attempted to leave me stranded on a 2000 mile road trip. The pos was sounding like it was going to die and even gave off a huge puff of smoke after starting in the middle of nowhere! Stay away from this piece of crap!!!!
