Product Information

Starter

Starter motors are what get your engine running. In order for an engine to start it must be rotating. The starter motor spins the engine via the flywheel or flex plate while fuel is injected into the engine. Starter motors are very robust and have a long service life but can fail. A failed starter motor will prevent you from being able to start your car.

Modification Needed If You Buy This Starter
A bit of information I wish I knew before buying one of these, is that they are not OEM. BMW uses Valeo for their starters and the connectors between these and the Valeo units are diffeent. You will need a grind away teh connector with a dremel tool in order for this to fit into the connector from your wire loom. These are great starters but it should be mentioned here that this requires modification. These are not "plug and play".
