Product Information

The BMW S85 was born from an era in which BMW was running their own works F1 team. Simultaneously running the P80-based F1 V10 and producing a series production V10 for the road. Our inspiration for developing these stainless upgraded valve cover bolts in-house came from these golden years of screaming V10s.

Included in this kit are 34 replacement 316 stainless steel valve cover bolts and NRW silicone grommets. Compared to the original plated steel fasteners, these valve cover bolts have much higher corrosion resistance and won't experience a coating failure as rust and moister accumulates. These rounded-top screws are also used on the ionic knock module covers, brightening up your engine bay.

Note: Torque to the original valve cover bolt spec by hand (6Nm). The use of impact guns may damage the hardware finish. Due to the nature of the valve cover and gasket, galvanic corrosion shouldn't be of concern when using these bolts. If you are concerned about galvanic corrosion, thread sealant or anti-seize can be used.
