These won't fit an E46 2003 325ci convertible, even though it's listed as one that will fit. It's hard to tell from the picture, but they are too big.

I wish they never put side mouldings on the E46 but it is what it is. If you can see the clip behind the moulding, it's time to change them out. The moulding should be snug against the door panel. You know they are installed correctly when you push on them and they make a loud click as the locking tabs grab the door panel. To remove the old ones without damaging the trim, use a razor blade and cut the four locking tabs.

Should have ordered more! May as well replace the ones that are going to fail, original clips will fracture with age! Save yourself a trip to a BMW dealer and save $.

THE DRIVERS SIDE MOLDING WAS PEELINGS OFF DUE TO A COUPLE BROKEN CLIPS. THESE OEM CLIPS POPPED IT RIGHT BACK IN WITH PERFECT FITMENT. JUST AS DESCRIBED

If you have a sedan, you might find the black trim around your E46 bumpers and doors quite annoying. Some people paint or wrap them body color, which is what I decided to do. But the molding on the doors is held in with clips, most of which broke when I took my trim off to wrap it. The trim uses quite of a few of these clips, and ordering even just a dozen of genuine clips for $1.39 really adds up quickly. There is no brand associated with these OEM clips, but at only $0.69 a piece it's hard to say no. They look and feel exactly like the genuine clips. Fitment is perfect too. You can't go wrong with these. Installing the new clips can be tricky. I couldn't get the old ones off without using force or breaking them. My advice is to use a flathead screwdriver, insert it underneath the old clips and yank it off quickly, breaking the old clip in the process. You will want to do this quickly. Twisting the screwdriver around underneath the old clip can cause it to deform the trim/molding. Once broken off, just clip in the new clips. When installing, make sure to remove the green rubber dome from each of the clips and slide it into the holes in the door first. Then align the trim piece with the new clips and push it in until each clip clicks into place.
