Are we sure this won’t fit a 2012 X5 E70 with standard suspension? I’m pretty sure it will.

Yes, this would be a fit for E70 X5 in the rear left. Not for cars with Self Levelling Suspension, 3rd Row Seat, Sport Suspension or Adaptive Drive.
