Ordered 2 at the exact same time, one had noticeably more gas in it and was harder to compress while the other was substantially easier. Comes with Bump stop and thats it, would still need to order the top nut bushing for inside the cabin area where it mounts, and the bushing that goes directly over the bump stop and dust cover. Check a diagram before ordering so you dont end up missing parts like me.

2009 BMW 335d. Replaced rear shocks, mounts and hardware. Bilstein torque settings, assembly diagram are on Bilstein website. Huge difference in performance over my worn out OEM shocks. Ride not to harsh but noticeable stiffer. handles better than when vehicle was new.
Fitted these to my 2007 335i e92 with 165xxx klm, I live in Victoria Australia in the hills with occasional pothole roads, i have standard original springs as lowered springs would not suit my location.
1. The original shocks had no gas pressure left.
2. The original bump stop had decayed.
3. The original shocks bottomed out occasionally.
A. These new bilstein have no extra harshness or ride quality negatives.
B. They seem to drive the tyre into the road better- it's hard to describe.
C. They are actually softer over hard big bumps because they dont bottom out.
D. They are an improvement by every measuse, just buy them and dont worry that the ride will be too harsh - it's not- they just have more capacity when your pushing hard - the tyres are attached to the road better. :)
The installation process was easy and having these shocks were amazing. They are so much better than the normal shocks and provide a much better ride.

Can I use these with the Dinan D100-0925 lowering coil springs on my 2011 bmw 335i xdrive e90? Would I need to purchase the Dinan supplemental ride handling kit?

The supplemental ride and handling kit will help with any standard replacement shock, which the B6 is meant to be (not intended for use with more than 1-2 inches below stock ride height changes). Bilstein B8 however are designed to accommodate lowering springs and have internal tuned bump stops specific to their design.

I’m a bit confused about the proper setup for the components that go on top of the strut. I recently installed these and have been getting a really bad noise from the rear end ever since. I’m fairly certain it’s user error when I assembled the strut, but I couldn’t find a clear answer on the correct order of parts. I plan to take them back out and reassemble the top portion properly. If anyone can provide the correct setup or guidance, it would be greatly appreciated.

One of my rear shocks is pretty shot...was thinking of replacing the rears with these instead of the OE/OEM. Would you recommend against having the OE/OEM damping in the front with the sportier B6 damping in the rear?
Also, the mounting kit (KIT-E9XRSMKIT), which parts in there would I not need if I purchased a set of these shocks? Thanks for your help!

No, we do not recommend using this shock, or any OEM style shock for that matter, with an adjustable coil spring height adjuster that would be included with a coilover kit. We recommend you either replace the coilover kit as a whole or contact the manufacturer of your coilover kit, in this case Raceland, to see if you can order/replace the required rear shocks that are designed to work with the spring/adjuster you already have.

I installed these about 3 months ago. After installation, I noticed a slight squeak coming from the rear suspension.
I used the all the Bilstein parts that came with the shocks. Do you have any tips on what I can look for?

Definitely check the lower mount that the stud threads threw as well as making sure the upper mount bushings are in good shape. Not sure if you replaced these when installing the shocks but it's the first area to look. You can also attempt to bounce the car while it's parked to see if you can generate the squeak to more easily find the location it comes from.

Is there any point to installing the bump stop support piece 33526764418 when using the Bilstein B6 shocks? I went ahead and installed it since it was in the instruction diagram that came with the shocks, but in retrospect it doesn't seem to do much.

The OE bump stop support is not required with the Bilstein B6 shock absorber. The purpose of the bump stop support is to hold the OE bump stop/dust sleeve. Since the B6 HD shock includes it's own bump stop and dust bellow the OE bump stop support is not required.
