The purpose of the shock absorber is to dampen the recoil of the coil spring as your travel over dips and bumps in the road. Bilstein rear shocks 24-176255
Ordered them for my 2015 BMW F10 550I XDrive and they have been working perfectly for 3 months now... I don't usually write reviews but I thought I would for this product... Bilstein's official website says they fit our BMW F10's but others out there including FCP Euro says they only might fit or they don't fit... I installed them both on the rear and haven't had 1 problem yet with them or anything on the rear of my Bimmer...
