Wrong heater for 335D
DO NOT BUY FOR A 335D. I don't know why this is the first result in the search for a 335D when it's the wrong part. This is for a X5 only. It cannot be modified to fit a 335D, it looks very similar, but it will not work.
Works great,

Question Posted by Benjamin
Does this assembly also include the temp sensor? That is the code I am getting (4D32 - temp sensor plausibility). Since the heating element itself and the level sensor are included in this assembly I kind of assumed the temp sensor was as well.....just wanted to make sure before ordering. Thanks for your help!
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yes, the temperature sensor is built into the active tank.
Question Posted by Tony
Does this part come with a new heating element (not shown in the pictures)?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
Yes. The heating element is internal to the heater assembly.
Question Posted by a customer
Is this also the level sensor or is that a separate item?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
There is a level sensor in this heater assembly.
Question Posted by a customer
Do you have a diy instruction sheet on doing this repair to my 2011 X5 35D? Or can you send a link with one?
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
We do not have installation material available for this. Best we can do is link you to the TIS instructions for removing the tank. Past that it's a figure it out yourself scenario as this is not a service part used by BMW since the general repair procedure by BMW is to replace the entire tank. https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e70-x5-xdrive35d-sav/repair-manuals/16-fuel-supply/16-19-selective-catalytic-reduction-technology/1VnYINZtyF
Question Posted by Janusz
I own 2012 X5 diesel check engine light is on it’s P209F code it means some sensor in def tank you think that unit will fix the problem
Answer (Posted by FCP Euro Products Team)
There is no way for us to verify for certain if a part will resolve a fault code. Reason being is fault codes may or may not be related to a component failure but could also potentially be a wiring/circuit issue which needs to be identified as part of the diagnosis process. P209F is an indication that there is an issue with the SCR tank heater control circuit performance. This could be part related or it could be circuit related. We recommend a complete and thorough diagnosis on the system before ordering this part.
