The purpose of a radiator is to assist in keeping the engine operating at its optimum temperature by helping remove heat from a running engine. If your radiator is leaking or has blockages such that coolant cannot flow, then its time for a new radiator.

Radiator

Your radiator is an integral, and arguably, the most important part of the cooling system. It is designed to expel heat from the coolant via the small fins. Most radiators fail when the end tanks crack causing leaks, but higher mileage radiators which have missing or bent fins often are clogged up with debris which can also cause overheating issues as the radiator cannot expel heat effectively. If your radiator is in rough shape we recommend replacing it. We also highly recommend inspecting/replacing the upper and lower radiator hose at that time.

Perfect fit - 2012 X3 35i.

This is the correct radiator for my 2011 X3, but there are only 3 connections on this, while there are 4 connections on the old radiator.
As the subject says, this radiator IS the correct part and fits 100% fine in my 2011 X3 xDrive35i (F25), but the old radiator had 4 hose connections, and this one only has 3. I thought I bought the wrong part, but I called the dealer and this is correct. Apparently an update was made that deletes the smaller of the two lower hoses. When you do this replacement, depending on when your vehicle was manufactured, its options, etc., you may need to remove an entire hose and not reinstall it, but instead cap off the connection on a metal pipe where the hose was. For this you would need the 17122754235 Blind plug which FCP sells, but they fail to flag this based on the year/make/model. No issues with the radiator unit itself, just be aware that you might need another part to complete the job. It's wise to look at a parts diagram on a site where you can enter your VIN to see parts diagrams and check to see if this cap/plug is required before buying this radiator and order the plug along with it so you don't get caught in the middle of replacing the radiator and have to run to the dealer to buy this plug like I did.

Nissens Radiator for my 2012 X3 35i
Fits great, also comes with new 0-rings for the 3 hoses that connect to the radiator.

What are the part numbers for the o ring included with this radiator?

There are no available part numbers for the o-rings included with this radiator. BMW does not offer replacements separate from the hoses or dimensions for them. Nissens includes these, but does not provide individual replacement part numbers or dimensions in their documentation.

How many gallons of coolant are required to fill?

No information is available for capacity for the radiator itself. But since the system will be open it's really best to drain the entire system and refill. Roughly 2 gallons of coolant are required to fill the entire system.
