Product Information

Part number NSN-60663 is a new, unused Nissens radiator. The purpose of a radiator is to assist in keeping the engine operating at its optimum temperature by helping remove heat from a running engine. If your radiator is leaking or has blockages such that coolant cannot flow, then its time for a new radiator. Due to options like Air Conditioning and Tow Packages, radiators can vary within a model year, so if you are not sure which one you need, give us a call with your VIN number. We are happy to help.

Founded in 1921, Nissens has an extensive history of designing and manufacturing a vast array of radiators and various other climate control related products. Thanks to their experience in both automotive and industrial applications, Nissens has become one of the leaders when it comes to thermal solutions.

Radiator

Your radiator is an integral, and arguably, the most important part of the cooling system. It is designed to expel heat from the coolant via the small fins. Most radiators fail when the end tanks crack causing leaks, but higher mileage radiators which have missing or bent fins often are clogged up with debris which can also cause overheating issues as the radiator cannot expel heat effectively. If your radiator is in rough shape we recommend replacing it. We also highly recommend inspecting/replacing the upper and lower radiator hose at that time.

Radiator Failure Symptoms
  • Overheating
  • Coolant Leak
  • Cracking
  • Bent Fins
  • Clogged Fins caused by debris

Quality fine, mislabeled
Quality of part seems fine, but it is for an automatic transmission, not a manual. I don't even know if you can get the manual model anymore. If you are trying to put this on your manual trans car, you will have to plug the fittings that are intended for the auto trans cooling lines.

Good radiator
So this Nissens radiator fit perfectly in my BMW E30. The quality of the plastic and the metal is good. There were no rough spots and everything fit together well. I have been driving with it for several months now and all is good. Only thing I can say is that the price to get one is getting really expensive. I do wish that Behr and Nissens would continue to make this radiator for these great classic cars. Thanks FCP for very good service to me, Tim
