A common failure item of most BMW cooling systems
Your BMW's radiator is an integral, and arguably, the most important part of the cooling system. It is designed to expel heat from the coolant via the small fins. Most radiators fail when the end tanks crank causing leaks, but higher mileage radiators which have missing fins or are clogged up with debris can also cause overheat issues as the radiator cannot expel heat effectively. If your BMW's radiator is in rough shape we recommend replacing it. We also highly recommend replacing the upper and lower radiator hose.
Its critical to replace coolant with OE approved Coolant/Antifreeze otherwise the radiator can crack or fail prematurely. The anti-corrosive formula will help to protect against rust and has an extended life compared to some aftermarket options. The coolant system in your BMW protects your engine against excessive heat which can lead to added wear or engine failure in extreme cases.
