A car's power steering typically runs off of pressurized hydraulic fluid that circulates from your power steering pump to your steering rack and back. Check these hoses for signs of leaks or cracking and replace as necessary to prevent fluid contamination and a more costly repair in the future.
The power steering return hose is a flexible tube that connects the power steering pump to the power steering reservoir. It carries low-pressure return fluid from the steering system back to the reservoir after it has been used to assist in steering. This component is essential for maintaining proper fluid levels and pressure in the power steering system, ensuring smooth steering operation.
