Remanufactured new power steering pump sourced from Bosch/ZF

Power steering pumps usually last the lifetime of the vehicle. However, poor power steering system maintenance, old power steering fluid, and incorrect power steering fluid can cause the pump to fail prematurely. If your power steering pump is screaming or chirping when you are turning the wheels you may need to replace it.

Must also replace aluminum screws:

Power Steering Pump

Power steering pumps pressurize the fluid in the steering hydraulic system to allow for steering assist at slow road speeds. The power steering system is powered by the engine via a serpentine or v belt which spins the pump pulley. Power steering pumps are generally a lifetime component.

However, poor power steering system maintenance, old power steering fluid, and incorrect power steering fluid can cause the pump to fail prematurely. If your power steering pump is screaming or chirping when you are turning the wheels you may need to replace it.

Defective Power Steering Pump
My OE power steering pump was starting to whine, and I bought this as a replacement. Not a huge fan of reman but took into consideration it was Bosch and from FCPeuro. I am a service advisor so I deal with this stuff daily. Was upset to find the new pump to not even work at all, no whine - just a stiff steering wheel. BMW master technician installed, so not an install issue with the proper CHF 11S fluid. Just wanted to give everybody a heads up, order a new one which FCPeuro does offer as well!
