Power Seat Switch

A power seat switch is an electrical switch that allows the driver or passenger to adjust the position of the power seats in a vehicle. It controls the movement of the seat forward, backward, up, down, and sometimes reclining or tilting. Common failure symptoms include the seat not moving at all, moving slowly, or stopping unexpectedly when the switch is held down.

Power Seat Switch Failure Symptoms
  • Seat doesn't move: The most obvious sign is when the seat fails to respond to any switch input.
  • Slow or jerky movements: The seat may move very slowly, or the movement may be erratic and not smooth.
  • Seat stops mid-adjustment: The seat may move initially but then stop moving, even while the switch is still being pressed.
