Product Information

The DS2500 is one of the best hybrid street/track pads on the market. It features the moderately high bite and solid fade resistance of a track pad, with the relatively low dust and noise levels of a street pad. When used as a street pad, it can produce some squeal on certain vehicle platforms. During aggressive driving the DS2500 is known for its flat torque curve, which means as temperatures go up, the response through the brake pedal remains consistent. If you drive aggressively on the street, do some canyon runs, autoX, and maybe some light track duty on street tires, the DS2500 is tough to beat.

Good for a hybrid street/track pad, but don't expect miracles
E90 M3, stock weight, stock brakes, stock size street tires, beginner-to-intermediate-level pace at HPDE. Zero fade at the track. Bite was consistent, well matched to street tires, and easy to modulate. Wear was fast -- down to 50% or less after one 2-day event. Odd NVH at some speeds, like a dull growl. On the street, performance and feel were fine; squeal was far less than with real track pads, but still pervasive and just loud enough to be annoying. Overall, technically capable of dual use, though just enough shortcomings to make you want dedicated pads. To be fair, though, if you must have a dual-use pad, this is a solid compromise.

How thick are the pads for the front and the rear on a 2019 M2 Competition?

For that application, these would not be the correct pads. You would need Ferodo Racing FCP4712H for the front which is 20.4mm thick, and Ferodo Racing FCP1281H for the rear that would be 18mm thick.
