Product Information

The DS2500 is one of the best hybrid street/track pads on the market. It features the moderately high bite and solid fade resistance of a track pad, with the relatively low dust and noise levels of a street pad. When used as a street pad, it can produce some squeal on certain vehicle platforms. During aggressive driving the DS2500 is known for its flat torque curve, which means as temperatures go up, the response through the brake pedal remains consistent. If you drive aggressively on the street, do some canyon runs, autoX, and maybe some light track duty on street tires, the DS2500 is tough to beat.

335i calipers on 128i
I've done 2 track days on these both at Thunderhill West and East, and honestly, they felt amazing. Little to no fade. My 2008 128i 6MT is stock besides an AFE intake and a muffler delete. These brakes are more than enough for cars that are not over 450whp ish. 335i Calipers Stainless Steel Brake lines Motul 660

Good for a hybrid street/track pad, but don't expect miracles
E90 M3, stock weight, stock brakes, stock size street tires, beginner-to-intermediate-level pace at HPDE. Zero fade at the track. Bite was consistent, well matched to street tires, and easy to modulate. Wear was fast -- down to 50% or less after one 2-day event. Odd NVH at some speeds, like a dull growl. On the street, performance and feel were fine; squeal was far less than with real track pads, but still pervasive and just loud enough to be annoying. Overall, technically capable of dual use, though just enough shortcomings to make you want dedicated pads. To be fair, though, if you must have a dual-use pad, this is a solid compromise.
