A door window belt weatherstrip (also called a belt molding, window sweep, or outer window seal) is the rubber or rubber-coated strip that runs horizontally along the base of a car’s door window where the glass meets the door panel.

• Water Leaks into the Door or Cabin: Rainwater seeps past the worn seal and may collect inside the door or drip into the interior.
• Wind Noise at Highway Speeds: Gaps in the seal allow air to whistle or roar into the cabin.
• Increased Dirt or Dust on the Glass and Door Interior: The strip no longer wipes the glass effectively, letting debris enter.
