Complete oil change kit for your E9X M3 featuring LiquiMoly 10W60 and an OEM Mahle oil filter kit

Engine oil in any vehicle is a critical lifeline. This is especially true in the case of the BMW S65 V8. Regular servicing not only maintains current levels of performance but also helps reduce wear. BMW stipulates that the oil should be changed every 15,000 miles. We and other enthusiasts do not agree with this philosophy. Instead, we recommend oil changes every 5,000 miles under normal use to prevent sludge buildup and to ensure that the engine has fresh oil.

Please note: Tightening torque for the M12x1.5 oil drain plugs is 25Nm (~18.5 ft lbs) of torque. The oil filter cap on top of the oil filter housing is to be torqued to 40Nm (~29.5 ft lbs) of torque. You can use a 36mm, 6 point socket for removal of the oil filter housing cap or order special socket CTA-2574

Perfect oil

Running hot/ tapping noises
My first oil change was LM oil, for the first months it was running good, then when it got hot the engine started running hot and making a weird tapping noise.

E90 M3 DD
Daily driving the m3 with liquid moly for the past few oil changes. Once I replaced nearly every gasket I have been losing no oil between changes (every 5k). Running with the Ceratec additive at 6-7% because why not. Rod bearings were replaced a few years ago. Motor is a little noisy though.

2014 Porsche GT3
This oil kit does had a filter that does not fit my vehicle with new G6 motor SKU: KIT-991GT3OILKT3 Porsche Engine Oil Change Kit (0W-40) - Liqui Moly/Genuine 991GT3OILKT3 I had to buy a separate filter. Need OPB 115 351 Mahler oc 1049/2 Oil worked out great.

Good Oil
Car has been running great with this oil. It does run a bit hot like 10-15 higher than on BMW's ///M oil, It really doesn't make too much of a difference but if you are concerned about it you can try castrol (BMW Oil).
