BMW Swing Arm Bushing Kit With Press Tools - Meyle HD 3147540002HD

Product Information

Control arms are links that help connect and stabilize the vehicle's suspension to the subframe of the vehicle. Many vehicle’s, while varying in suspension layout, will have control arms with serviceable bushings and/or joints on either end where they meet the undercarriage or spindle of the vehicle.

As the rubber on these bushings degrades or cracks they will no longer provide a rigid connection and cause problems in handle and ride quality. Often times to save time and cost it is possible to press out the original worn bushing and press in a replacement instead of replacing the complete control arm. Common failure symptoms of faulty control arms bushings include:

• Uneven tire wear and inability to align vehicle
• Poor handling characteristics
• Loud clunking, metal on metal sounds, suspension buckling
• Vibration or wobble in the steering wheel
• Banging sound over bumps

About Meyle HD

Meyle High Durability

MEYLE HD products are technically superior to the OE part, whilst the reinforced and optimized design and high-quality materials make them more durable and reliable. As a result, they simply last longer and often outperform OEM parts.

The MEYLE HD brand is a subsidiary of Wulf Gaertner, a firm established in 1958 that at the time just exported and traded original equipment spare parts on a small scale. Today Meyle offers over 17,000 top-grade automotive spare parts including the "MEYLE HD" line, not to be mistaken for the "Meyle" line. While Meyle is a quality aftermarket parts option, Meyle HD goes further than the original OEM part by determining the root cause of failure and improving the design to make it more durable. Whether they increase the size of a ball joint, re-design its socket, or add in high performance synthetic grease, you can be sure that Meyle has done their due diligence to improve the replacement components for your European Vehicle.
