Your radiator is an integral, and arguably, the most important part of the cooling system. It is designed to expel heat from the coolant via the small fins. Most radiators fail when the end tanks crack causing leaks, but higher mileage radiators which have missing or bent fins often are clogged up with debris which can also cause overheating issues as the radiator cannot expel heat effectively. If your radiator is in rough shape we recommend replacing it. We also highly recommend inspecting/replacing the upper and lower radiator hose at that time.

I don't know, thought it looked cool and that I needed it for tracking my e46. It's a really tight fit and little clearance against the PS pump. If your engine mounts are not up to par, the flex can cause the PS pump to rub against the expansion tank under heavy braking. Also flexes the expansion tank retainer quite a bit. It is nice being all aluminum and haven't been on the track yet, but lots of forum posts saying that OEM rad would be fine for HPDEs and 20-30 min track sessions.
Great Product, fits well and works with ease. Cooling has been much more efficient since installing. Also looks pretty cool when you open your hood.
Fits great in the Z4m coupe. Just needed a longer self tapping screw on the right top of the radiator that goes secures the fan and radiator.
Great upgrade for any e46. TLDR: Great performance but fitment needs work or additional new parts.
I have done multiple drift events with constant rev limiter, full throttle and straight hot lapping with minimal to almost no cool down laps. sitting in line for 10-20min between runs and never overheating.
Pretty nice build quality however some dimensions are a bit off. I believe you need offset bottom bushings and different top hose fitting as with stock expansion tank I was having some sealing issues on the top outlet bung. the race for the clip is a bit to wide and doesn't push the o ring to seal well. I ended up just zip tying the neck to seal the hose fitting. Also. stock 330 electric fan shroud doesn't fit on the bottom so I had to trim it to avoid the expansion tank from rubbing on the serpentine belt. Offset bushings might fix this, but blown motor mounts will also tilt your engine forward and rub the tank.
I race my car. Swapped to this radiator after running my car on stock one for years. Perfect fitment, reused all stock hoses (previously replaced), it's bigger and more efficient. The only thing I hear people have some issues with is the clearance of the expansion tank and the PS pulley. I addressed that by using Powerflex offcenter poly bushings. no issues. My temps on the track dropped by 30 degrees!
NIce looking radiator, was not polished due to covid, more of a scuffed appearance. Installed without issue and works great. It moves the electric fan very close to the front of the motor but no clearance issues. No plastic is a plus any day! Car will take a little longer to warm if cold, but getting rid of heat in summer is a big plus!
Very well made, clean welds, stock coolant hoses snapped on very snug. Install was a breeze in my ‘02 manual 325i. If you use this radiator you WILL NEED fresh or stiffer than stock engine mounts (I’m using m3) as the new radiator is much thicker and reduces clearance between the fan and pulleys, as well as the expansion tank. I also had to replace the upper passenger side radiator/ mounting screw with a longer one to clear the thicker rad.
I own a 2000 323iT (Wagon). The quality is great. The fitment is not 'drop-in'. It does not fit with 'OEM' style radiator fan, and the upper hose looks like it is going to kink. It could be that this is an aftermarket fan and that is the culprit - I'm not original owner, so I can't say for sure. In any case, I will order an aftermarket fan and see how it goes.

No, this radiator fits standard transmissions only. CSF does not offer this style radiator for automatic vehicles. The only aluminum radiator available that will work with automatic transmission vehicles is p/n MMRADE46323A.
