A Turbocharger Mount Heat Shield is a protective metal cover or barrier installed around the turbocharger and its mounting area. Since turbochargers operate at extremely high temperatures, the heat shield is designed to protect nearby components (hoses, wiring, engine parts, and body panels) from excessive heat exposure.

• Rattling or metallic noises – caused by a loose or broken heat shield vibrating at certain engine speeds.
• Burning smell – nearby hoses, wires, or plastic components overheating.
• Visible heat damage – melted wiring, cracked hoses, or scorched paint near the turbo area.
