This is the electrical control module for your vehicle's xenon headlight assembly. When this fails, it causes a bulb out warning on the dash followed by your headlight being inoperable. Restore functionality to your vehicle headlight electronics with this control module.

Headlight Control Module

A headlight control module (sometimes called a headlamp control unit or lighting control module) is an electronic unit that manages and regulates a vehicle’s headlight functions. It communicates with onboard sensors, switches, and the vehicle’s ECU to control operations such as:

  • Turning headlights on/off automatically based on ambient light conditions.
  • Operating daytime running lights (DRLs).
  • Adjusting beam levels (auto-leveling systems).
  • Managing adaptive or dynamic headlight systems (e.g., cornering lights, matrix LEDs).

It ensures proper illumination for safety while optimizing power consumption and compliance with regulations.

Following replacement of the driver module, will I need to calibrate the driver module with a scanner? If so, what scanner would you recommend? I own a 2013 BMW xdrive 28i with adaptive headlights/xenon bulbs.
