A throttle body gasket is a seal located between the throttle body and the intake manifold in a vehicle’s engine. The throttle body controls the amount of air flowing into the engine based on driver input from the accelerator pedal. The gasket's role is to ensure an airtight seal between the two components, preventing air leaks that could disrupt the air-fuel mixture and reduce engine performance.

• Rough Idle: A damaged or worn gasket can cause air leaks, leading to a rough or erratic idle
• Engine Misfire: When extra air enters the intake manifold through a leaking gasket, it can create a lean air-fuel mixture
• Decreased Engine Power: The improper air-to-fuel ratio disrupts combustion, leading to reduced performance.
• Increased Fuel Consumption: As the engine compensates for the extra air caused by a faulty gasket, it may inject more fuel to compensate, leading to increased fuel consumption
