Product Information

All new turbocharged BMW engines use a direct fuel injection system which directly injects fuel into the combustion chamber. This differs from a port injection system which injects fuel into the intake side of the engine through the intake manifold. Direct injection fuel systems operate at a significantly higher pressure than conventional port injection fuel systems. Due to the design, the engine relies heavily on a properly operating fuel system. If your BMW is suffering from misfires or has a rough idle it can be due to faulty fuel injectors.

Note: Per BMW service bulletin SI B13 03 15 the injectors in the vehicle may not match with what is listed in the BMW ETK. We have a full explanation of how to identify fuel injectors here: How To Identify BMW EU5 & EU6 Fuel Injectors. After installation, you will need to enter the quantity compensation adjustment value into the DME using an appropriate scan tool. Even if the value is the same as the injectors that came out of the engine it is still required to enter these values. The picture below shows where the compensation adjustment values are located on these injectors:

Fuel Injector

A fuel injector is a critical component of a vehicle's fuel delivery system. It is responsible for delivering the precise amount of fuel into the engine's combustion chamber at the right time. Fuel injectors spray fuel in a fine mist, ensuring proper atomization and mixing with air for efficient combustion.

  • Poor Engine Performance: A failing fuel injector can lead to reduced engine performance, resulting in a lack of power, rough acceleration, or difficulty maintaining speed
  • Rough Idle: If one or more fuel injectors are clogged or malfunctioning, the engine may idle roughly, leading to vibrations and an uneven running condition
  • Increased Fuel Consumption: A malfunctioning injector can lead to excessive fuel being injected into the engine, resulting in poor fuel economy and increased operating costs
  • Engine Misfires: A faulty fuel injector can cause the engine to misfire, which may result in a noticeable loss of power, rough running, or even stalling. Misfires can also trigger the check engine light

Works exactly as needed
I had 3 injectors fail, so 3 new injectors and everything is running perfectly again. Was truly surprised they went from ok to totally broken with little warning, and also for 3 to got at the same time, but they likely should have all been replaced at 100k.

No. You also need to order the decoupling element, p/n 13537577649. The only thing included with this injector is the injector tip seal which is pre-installed.

No, these are N55 fuel injectors for 2011+ models. 2010 535i's have an N54 engine which uses different fuel injectors. Please use our vehicle selector to input your specific vehicle info. From there you will be able to find the correct fuel injectors and other information relevant to your vehicle for injector installation and replacement.

What index are these? Are they the newest variant of index 12?

This is an index 14 injector for N55 EU5 applications. Since you referencing "index 12" injectors it sounds like you may be asking about N54 injectors which are a different part number. Make sure you have selected the correct year/model from the vehicle selector when searching fuel injectors. If you have an N54 powered BMW this injector will not work for you.
