Product Information

It’s commonplace to see aftermarket or OEM chassis bracing added to G20 engine bays, however, there are some details which often go overlooked when stiffening the chassis of the G20.

Vehicles equipped with the M Sport or Adaptive M Suspension packages featured a boomerang-shaped steel firewall reinforcement under the cowl cover. This brace extends forward to the strut towers - a standard brace on the G22 4-series and G8X vehicles. This means that - regardless of adding forward strut bracing to the front radiator support, the strut towers are still not braced to the firewall on a 330i/ 330e - with the firewall brace being the component which actually adds overall chassis stiffness.

We've assembled this comprehensive installation kit featuring an easy-to-start chamfered tap to cut the required threads, the appropriate hardware, and the strut brace itself. You'll need to remove your cowl trim to access the OEM pickup points, and then it's just a matter of creating the M10x1.5 threads and installing the brace!

Note: Due to the limited availability of some components, we've chosen to use alternative OEM hardware in some instances. Such as hardware from other makes.

Torque Specs:

  • Tension strut to bulkhead/ firewall: 56Nm
  • Tension strut to strut tower: 56Nm +90°
