You Get What You Pay For
Thought at first that a cylinder head was stripped, but close inspection of one of the studs I bought revealed that its first thread had a dent in it downwards, which kept it from threading into the cylinder head. The other stud went in fine. These seem to be hit-or-miss, which sucks when shipping costs so much and isn't refundable. There are alternatives out there supposedly made from better materials but for 2x the cost, but may be worth it at the end of the day.

Good replacement
I recommend always keeping an extra stud bolt and nut handy when messing with the valve cover! It is way too common to shear one off if you’ve never replaced your valve cover before. 10 Nm is only 88 in-lbs!

Failed
The bolt broke before it became seated. I only used a 1/4" ratchet so I didn't over torque it, and the bolt failed and broke below the surface. This is cheap Chinese metal. I had success with a used OEM one

Great Replacement
Snapped a stud and this was an easy replacement and arrived 2 days after ordering. Pulled the old broken one out and replaced quickly during VCG replacement.

Worked perfect
I broke a couple of these while over torqueing my valve cover bolts. These simple unscrew and the new ones go right in. A very easy fix for a stupid mistake I made.

What is the torque spec for this stud that goes in the cylinder head? Thanks

The thread to the cylinder head is M7 thread size which makes the torque spec 13Nm (~115 in lbs). The cap nuts with grommets (M6 thread) that are used to secure the valve cover to these studs are torqued to 11Nm (~97 in lbs).
