Product Information

This exhaust manifold installation kit includes all new studs, nuts, and gaskets for mounting the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head along with replacement exhaust gaskets and nuts for mounting the manifolds to the mid-pipe. This kit is ideal for an engine rebuild or anytime the exhaust manifolds have been removed from the engine.

Exhaust Manifold

An exhaust manifold is a component that collects exhaust gases from the engine’s cylinders and directs them into the exhaust system. Typically made of cast iron, stainless steel, or tubular steel, it bolts directly to the engine cylinder head and channels gases into the catalytic converter and exhaust pipes.

Exhaust Manifold Failure Symptoms
  • Exhaust leaks (ticking or hissing noise) – especially noticeable during acceleration or cold starts.
  • Reduced engine performance – loss of power or acceleration due to improper exhaust flow.
  • Check Engine Light (CEL) – triggered by oxygen sensor readings affected by leaks.

Please review this kit for fitment on an N20 4 cylinder 2.0L engine (2013 X3 F25 X28i). The manifold gasket, studs, and nuts seems to be for a 6 cylinder engine. The counts are too much for a 4 cylinder. In other sites the exhaust gasket set for the N20 are 4 round gaskets. Thank you.

what are the torque specs for the studs and nuts

The studs should be installed hand tight then backed out a quarter turn or so, the nuts are 20nm (~15ft lb).
