Product Information
Seals the throttle body to the intake manifold. 3 per car
When servicing your BMW's intake system it is important to replace all gaskets to ensure a proper seal. A leaking seal in the intake manifold can cause lean running conditions and misfires.
A throttle body gasket is a seal located between the throttle body and the intake manifold in a vehicle’s engine. The throttle body controls the amount of air flowing into the engine based on driver input from the accelerator pedal. The gasket's role is to ensure an airtight seal between the two components, preventing air leaks that could disrupt the air-fuel mixture and reduce engine performance.
Fuel Injection Throttle Body Mounting Gasket Failure Symptoms- Rough Idle: A damaged or worn gasket can cause air leaks, leading to a rough or erratic idle
- Engine Misfire: When extra air enters the intake manifold through a leaking gasket, it can create a lean air-fuel mixture
- Decreased Engine Power: The improper air-to-fuel ratio disrupts combustion, leading to reduced performance.
- Increased Fuel Consumption: As the engine compensates for the extra air caused by a faulty gasket, it may inject more fuel to compensate, leading to increased fuel consumption
About Reinz
Founded by Hugo Reinz in 1920, Reinz has been known for the manufacturing of Automotive gaskets for over 90 years. For almost a century Reinz has provided gaskets and sealing products for both auto manufacturers and as an aftermarket solution for car enthusiasts. Their full catalog features over 15,000 different products, providing a great selection for excellent value. Way back in 1962 Reinz became the (OEM) original equipment manufacturer for the prestigious Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen car companies, a strong partnership that still continues to this day. The company continues to innovate and stay well ahead of the curve. For example, Reinz stopped using asbestos in their gaskets 12 years before it was banned in Germany in 1993. Reinz performs because every part they manufacture meets OEM standards – meaning you're getting great value that you can believe in. Many brands and models use sealing solutions from Reinz. In 1993 Reinx became a partner to the American company, Dana, to form the largest manufactures of components for automobile and commercial vehicles. The Gasket segment of Dana was Victor at the time ahich was then merged with Reinz to form the brand name of "Victor Reinz".
