An Engine Rocker Arm is a critical component in the valve train of an internal combustion engine. It acts as a lever that transfers the camshaft’s rotational motion into the up-and-down motion needed to open and close the intake and exhaust valves.

When the camshaft lobe pushes one side of the rocker arm, the other side presses down on the valve stem, allowing air-fuel mixture in (intake valve) or exhaust gases out (exhaust valve).

• Tapping or clicking noise from the engine – caused by excessive clearance or a loose/broken rocker arm.
• Engine misfire or rough idle – valves may not open properly, leading to incomplete combustion.
• Loss of power/poor acceleration – improper valve timing reduces engine efficiency.
