Product Information
This expansion tank hose from Genuine BMW is a heater return pipe, part of your cooling system. It brings hot coolant from your heater core back to your radiator to be cooled and recycled. These plastic coolant hoses undergo extreme gradients of temperature and pressure, and as a result tend to crack and fail. If you notice a coolant leak under your car, inspect the plumbing of your cooling system ASAP.

The engine coolant reservoir hose connects the engine’s cooling system to the coolant reservoir tank. Its primary function is to transport excess coolant from the radiator to the reservoir when the engine heats up and coolant expands. When the engine cools down, the hose also allows coolant to flow back into the radiator from the reservoir, ensuring the engine maintains the proper coolant level. This helps prevent overheating and maintains optimal engine temperature.
