Cylinder head to thermostat housing, includes o-ring
This hose connects the thermostat to the cylinder head. Coolant hoses are primarily constructed from rubber which deteriorates over time. If your coolant hoses are deformed, frayed, or look abnormal in anyway it's recommended to replace them before the completely fail.
Includes o-ring p/n 11537545278.
Radiator hoses have an important job to transport your engines coolant to and from its cooling system components. Over time they can become dry, hard, brittle, or leak which warrants a replacement. When replacing we also recommend a coolant flush and replacement to remove any possible sludge formed over time.

Warning - The non-fitting end comes with a clamp glued to the hose (not shown in the product photos). Some may find this convenient, but I like to position the clamp farther down on the hose, so I can more easily install it and then position the clamp. The glue looked like flexible RTV, so I tried to separate the clamp from the hose. Ended up ripping and ruining the hose.
Regardless, you can't beat the price vs. the factory part from BMW. I will probably order another one and just deal with the fixed clamp.
Some day BMW may stop using a plastic fitting for this home. Until that day, a half price quality alternative is welcome.

Do you have the hose without the flange? Cos I’m replacing the flange with the aluminum type.
